This is what it sounds like, when doves cry.

Prince
Lennie Baker
Well now Prince is gone too. Rest in peace. Another legend has joined the growing band in heaven.

Several great performers have passed away, before and after David Bowie died, including  Sha Na Na's Lennie Baker,

the best saxophone player ever, in my opinion. Keep on Rockin' and Grease for Peace, my cousin,

It seems like a conspiracy but I guess our greatest Rock and Roll legends are just aging.
*Huge Sigh*

I just updated my garden blog so I thought I'd post a reminder of it here. http://waynes-garden.darkskywv.com/

David Bowie - Lazarus

I don't think many people realized David Bowie was sick. I have to confess I have loved his music but didn't follow his life or what album was coming out etc. I just know that when it did come out it was always great. David (Jones) Bowie was an artist in every sense of the word, right to the end.
Rest in Peace David.

Happy 2016!

Hoping all my many many readers *cough cough* have a wonderful, safe and happy new year!

I believe for me, 2016 is a year I'll be breaking out of some ruts I've been in, in preparation for some significant changes in 2017.

There are several reasons I haven't already done this and I won't get into them now. Most still exist, mostly medical stuff, but I have made three resolutions this year:
(1) To suspend, for one year, my years-ago resolution to never again make New Years resolutions.
(2) To push myself past those above mentioned reasons and either survive it or not. The goal is to make some money and get myself financially back in black. Pay off old bills, and rebuild my credit yet again. We'll see what happens. I used to have a high tolerance for pain. Maybe I can get that back.
and;
(3) To lose at least a good portion of the approximately 90 pounds I want/need to lose, despite my medical limitations. Those limitations, I expect, will become less limiting as I accomplish this, as my body will be less taxed without the extra weight.

Wish me luck!

Happy New Year to all!!

O Holy Night - Rhema Marvanne

Found this in my drafts that I was getting ready to post earlier in December.

It's past Christmas but I think this is still worth a watch n listen. I just did. :) She really is amazing!

I hope this young lady is doing well. She hasn't posted anything in a few years and no indication of why. If you haven't read her story, that's something else you might want to do. Enjoy!

More coffee, please.

Happy Spring!
Feeling anxious and blue this morning. Maybe it's the rain and the fact that I've been kind of sick, and the realization that a large part of my life has gone by while "on hold" and a ways to go still, and a family matter that I won't get into right now, among other things.
Yeah, that's probably all it is.
Good that spring is here though and all that snow is gone. Getting started on the early steps of my garden (don't forget my gardening blog!).
While we have been waiting for a late Spring, it turns out Spring wasn't waiting after all. She's right on time and now I/we are behind schedule.
More coffee, please.
